Concentrating
PV modules with conc. factor of 25x (gen1) and 20x (gen2). The light is
concentrated on special solar cells of monocristalline silicon by reflective
“funnels for light” named Rondine
concentrators.
This panel
structure reduces of 25-20 times the amount of silicon required for high efficiency standard modules, with the same power
produced.
Advantages?
- Sustainability: the energy employed for the panel fabrication is strongly reduced respect to standard PV panels (higher sustainability)
- Costs:
very competitive costs respect to the standard PV panels even for the first stage of
industrial production
- Availability:
uninfluenced by the silicon market fluctuations
